Occasionally, there are events in our lives which continue to shape us long after the event has passed. That event for Ryan O'Meara was the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. It would be a lifetime of work and competition that would bring Ryan and his skating partner, Jamie Silverstein, to the picture postcard Italian city of Torino, nestled at the base of the aptly named Olympic Mountains. There Ryan and Jamie competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics, representing the U.S. in Compulsory Dance, Original Dance, and Free Dance.
More information on Ryan's professional skating career can be found online here.
Palavela Arena and the unmistakable Torino skyline (shown above) dominated by the towering Mole Antonelliana, the world's tallest museum, were the inspiration for the name and design influence of Palavela Home. Today, Ryan O'Meara skates gracefully through the design world, leaving magnificently appointed home spaces in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona [view portfolio]. Please take a moment to visit our showroom and say hello to Ryan and his Mom, Sue O'Meara, herself a curtain and window dressings professional.
